Work with us

Come and work
at our place

Standing behind the machine, knowing guests by name, and finishing your shift knowing what you have done. Experience is nice, but we will train you from scratch just as happily.

Barista van Coffee Fellows achter de bar

Why here

  • You are genuinely trained. Barista training is part of it, even if you have never steamed milk.
  • Rosters that fit. Studies, children or a second job — we plan around them instead of over them.
  • You really can move up. From barista to shift leader to store manager — the steps are there, if you want to take them.
  • A small team. Not an anonymous chain: you work with the same people and you know your regulars.
Just the practical bit

The questions you
really want to ask

No fine words, just the answers that matter.

From age 15

Still at school? Fine. You do not need hospitality experience — you will learn that here.

From 4 hours a week

One afternoon is enough to start with. More is fine too, if you want it.

Never evenings

We are closed in the evenings, so your evenings stay yours. We do work weekends.

Coffee on the house

During your shift you drink our coffee, and you get a staff discount on the rest of the menu.

Permanent or on-call

Either works. Want certainty? We will arrange a permanent contract. Want to stay flexible? Also fine.

Clarity, quickly

Signing up takes a minute and you do not need a CV or a cover letter. You will hear from us.

A day with us

What a shift looks like

Before opening

Opening up

Machines on, display filled, first beans ground. The first guests are there the moment the door opens.

Morning rush

Full speed

Coffee to go, filling bagels, keeping up the pace. For many guests you are the first face of their day.

In between

Quieter

Restocking, cleaning, sitting down for a moment. Time to teach new colleagues something.

Lunch

Second peak

Bagels, ciabattas and bowls, one after another.

Afternoon

Settlers

Guests who settle in and work. Cake and cappuccino.

Closing time

Closing up

Machines clean, display empty, till balanced. Done.

The roles

Where you can
start

You almost always start as an all-round team member. What you do after that depends on what you enjoy and what you show us.

All-round team member

Making coffee, filling bagels, helping guests, keeping the place tidy. Where everyone starts, no experience needed.

Barista

You specialise in the machine: the right grind, milk at the right temperature, every cup the same. You get training for it.

Shift leader

You run your own shift: staffing, stock, the till, and the point of contact for your colleagues.

Store manager

Responsible for the whole location: the roster, the takings, the team and the atmosphere on the floor.

Part-time job alongside school

Weekends and holidays, with a roster built around your timetable.

And after that?

A number of our people have ended up running their own business. This is how that works.

Vacancies

There is always room
for good people

Not every location is actively recruiting right now. Sign up below and you will be the first to hear as soon as something opens up near you — usually a few times a year per location.

Near you

Where would you
like to work?

Choose your location — then it is already filled in on the form.

Apply

Introduce yourself

No cover letter, no CV at this stage. Name, email address and where you would like to work — you will hear the rest from us.

1

You sign up. A minute's work.

2

We call or email you. Usually within a week, sometimes later if your location happens to be full.

3

You come by. Just a conversation in the shop, with a coffee.

Two sentences is plenty. No experience? Just write that — we will train you.

We use your details only for this application. See the privacy statement. You can send a CV by email once we have been in touch.
